9 Killed in Crash Between Fed Ex Truck and Bus Carrying Students
Published On: April 10, 2014
: A FedEx truck collided head on into a bus on Thursday, April 10 when it allegedly crossed the center divider on the I-5 Freeway in the city of Orland (Glenn County, Ca) killing nine people and injuring dozens more. Orland is approximately 100 miles north of Sacramento.
If the allegations are correct, FedEx will undoubtedly be held liable for the injuries to those who survived and the families of those who so tragically and needlessly died
in this accident. Among the dead were the drivers of the FedEx truck and the charter bus.
The charter bus company could be held liable as well if it can be shown that its driver could have avoided the accident and/or contributed in some way to the crash through his own comparative negligence or inattention.
Could distracted driving have been one of the root causes of this tragedy?
